To import data from the previous tax year:
Data Import function for Self-Assessment tax returns is limited to the immediate previous tax year records only.
You must log into the Cloud edition software on the same computer where the Desktop edition has been installed. Once logged into the Cloud application, follow these steps:
SA100 Self Assessment Software

From the vertical Menu bar, go to ‘Tools’ -> ‘Data Imports’ -> ‘Desktop Application’ -> ‘Previous Tax Year’.

Check the box for ‘Do you want to import taxpayer details from last year’s software?’

Click the ‘Browse’button. Navigate to the default location of data files, typically:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\(for Windows 10, or 11 users).
Select the folder for the previous year’s desktop edition (e.g., ‘Andica SA100 Pro [Previous Tax Year]’).

Click ‘Upload’. The software will display a list of taxpayer records. Select the records you wish to import by ticking the box next to each one. To import all records, click the ‘Select All’ button.

Click ‘Next’. If necessary, tick the options for importing forms, data, and values from the previous year.

Click 'OK'.
Example
To import data from SA100 version 2024 for the tax year 2023-24 Desktop edition to SA100 version 2025 for tax year 2024-25 Cloud edition, you must log into SA100 Cloud edition for tax year 2024-25 on the same computer where the SA100 version 2024 for tax year 2023-24 Windows desktop edition has been installed.
Once you have logged into the cloud application, do the following:
- From the vertical Menu bar, go to ‘Tools’ -> ‘Data Imports’ -> ‘Andica Windows Application’ – ‘Tax Year 2023-24’.

Put a tick for the box ‘Do you want to import tax payer details from last year’s software?’
- Click ‘Browse’ button.
Navigate to the default location of data files i.e. ‘C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\ ’ (if using Windows10 or 11)
Select the folder ‘Andica SA100 Pro 2024’.
- Click ‘Upload’. The software will display Tax Payer record(s) list. Select the Tax payer record(s) that you want to import by placing the tick against the relevant Tax payer record.
To import all the records, you can click on 'Select All' button.
- Click ‘Next’. If required, tick the relevant options for importing Forms, data and values from last year.
- Click 'OK'
Note-You will only be able to import records up to the number of software licence you have purchased.
SA800 Partnership Software

From the vertical Menu bar, go to ‘Tools’ -> ‘Data Imports’ -> ‘Desktop Application’ -> ‘Previous Tax Year’.

Check the box for ‘Do you want to import taxpayer details from last year's software?’

Click the ‘Browse’ button. Navigate to the default location of data files, typically:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\(for Windows 10, or 11 users).
Select the folder for the previous year's desktop edition (e.g., ‘Andica SA800 [Previous Year]’).

Click ‘Upload’. The software will display Partnership record(s) list. Select the Partnership record(s) that you want to import by placing the tick against the relevant Partnership record.

To import all the records, you can click on ‘Select All’ button.
Click ‘Next’. If required, tick the relevant options for importing Forms, data and values from last year.

Click ‘OK’.
Example
To import data from SA800 version 2024 for tax year 2023-24 Desktop edition to SA800 version 2025 for tax year 2024-25 Cloud edition, you must log into SA800 version 2025 for tax year 2024-25 Cloud edition software on the same computer where the SA800 version 2024 for tax year 2023-24 Windows desktop edition has been installed.

- Click ‘Next’. If required, tick the relevant options for importing Forms, data and values from last year.
- Click 'OK'

SA900 Trust and Estate Software
- From the vertical Menu bar, go to ‘Tools’ -> ‘Data Imports’ -> ‘Desktop Application’-> ‘Previous Tax Year’.
