Data Import Feature Windows Desktop edition to Windows Desktop edition

Andica Self Assessment Software for Individuals SA100, Partnerships SA800 and Trust and Estates SA900 provides feature to import data from last tax year to the next tax year.

Customers using Windows editions of Andica SA software can import the data into a new year's software from the immediate previous (last) year's data into the next year's software. For the routine to work successfully, a full set of data files should be on the same computer and in the exact path (drive letter and folders) they were in when records were created in that version. Import routine will not work if data files have been moved away to another location. Both versions of the software must be on the same computer.

Data Import function for Self Assessment tax returns Software are subject to guidelines provided and limited to the previous tax year records only.

Andica Self Assessment Data Import Feature

If you have installed and activated the current version (based on the tax year), you can import static data from the previous tax year version as described in the ‘Data Import’ section of the User Guide.

Data cannot be restored from the previous version to the current version.

Software also provides an additional feature for Importing Forms, Data and values from previous year, and it works as described in the user guide.

Data Files:

To import previous tax year’s data, the import routine requires a full set of previous year’s data files (MDB and all XML files) to be on the same computer and in the exact path (drive letter and folders) they were in that version.

Recreate New Records:

In some cases, where you only have a few records to import, it will be easier and quicker to recreate new and re-enter new data.

Data Import:

SA100 Self Assessment Software

  1. To import and create records with static data such as taxpayer's name, address, UTR, etc., Tools --> Imports --> Current Tax Year Data from the menu bar.
  2. The default data file location for the SA100 Self-Assessment software is: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\Andica SA100 Pro [version]\ (for Windows 10 or 11 users).
    Read [version] as the current version of the software that you are using.

    Example : Default data file location for SA100 Self-Assessment software 2024-25 (version 2025) is:  'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\Andica SA100 Pro 2025\' (if you are using 10 or 11)

  3. In the data import screen, browse to this location.

SA800 Partnership Software

  1. To import and create record with static data such as partnership's name, address, UTR, etc., Tools --> Imports --> Current Tax Year Data from the menu bar.
  2. Default data file location for SA800 Partnership software is: 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\Andica SA800 Partnership [version]\' (For Windows10 or 11 users) 
    Note: Replace [version] with the current software version you are using.

    Example: Default data file location for SA800 Partnership software 2024-25 (version 2025) is: 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\Andica SA800 Partnership 2025\' (if you are using Windows10 or 11)

  3. In the data import screen, browse to this location.

SA900 Trust and Estate Software

  1. To import and create record with static data such as Trust's name, address, UTR, etc., select Tools --> Imports --> Current Tax Year Data from the menu bar.
  2. Default data file location for SA900 Trust & Estate software is 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\Andica SA900 Trust [Version]\' (For Windows 10 or 11 users)

    Note: Read [version] as the current version of the software that you are using.
    Example- Default data file location for SA900 Trust & Estate software 2024-25 (version 2025) is 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Andica\Andica SA900 Trust 2025\' (if you are using Windows 10 or 11)

  3. In the data import screen, browse to this location.

Common Notes:

You will only be able to import records up to the number of software licence you have purchased.

If you have already created a Taxpayer/Partnership/Trust record, you cannot now try to import the static data from the previous tax year for the same Taxpayer/Partnership/Trust record.

You can now use the option to import 'Forms, Data and values from last year' as described in the guide, this is an optional feature and only works as described in the user guide.
