The App isn’t commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust the App before you open it

Symptoms:

When downloading Andica software, a message appears advising you to trust the software file before opening it.
Example: You are downloading Andica Payroll version 2025 software and you get the error message ‘AndicaPayrollv2025.exe isn’t commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust AndicaPayrollv2025.exe before opening it.’

Cause:

The message is part of your system security and standard Windows messages provided to advise that these kind of files (executable) "isn't commonly downloaded". It does not mean they are all harmful.

You simply need to allow your system security to proceed with the download.

Solution:

If you are using Microsoft Edge browser, it may be causing the issue. Try using Google Chrome or Firefox.
Alternatively, try the following:

  1. Hover the mouse on the message and you can see the icon to delete and More actions (3 horizontal dots).
  2. Click on More Actions (...) and select the option 'Keep' from the list.
  3. If you get the message 'Make sure you trust...'., look for the blue “Delete” button and click the down arrow next to it. Select 'Keep anyway' to proceed with download.
  4. Once the '.exe' file is downloaded, click on 'Open file'.
  5. If you get the message 'Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.', click on 'More Info'. This will display the option 'Run anyway'.
  6. Select 'Run anyway' and you should be able to install the software.
